In addition to our upcoming web-based games, we will shortly be adding new downloadable games that run on your PC. These will replace the older games we already have up, which have some problems running in Windows Vista and and Windows 7. We are presently only supporting Windows and Linux, sorry Mac users… Furthermore, a PC Engine version of “Fatal Relations”, based on the NDS version’s code, will be released in a few months. Originally, the PC Engine version was supposed to be the only conversion of the game, but we discovered that we would have a much easier time converting it to the NDS first. So, we took the basic code for the PC Engine version and ported it to the NDS. Now, we’re going to do the exact opposite by porting the NDS code back to the PC Engine.
Our first official DS release is a conversion of the old h-game/digital novel, Fatal Relations. It still requires testing, so we are releasing it into the wild. We urge all players to try it out and report any issues to us, as well as any suggestions that will help it out. You will need 7zip or a similar archiver to open the files. The ROM is the main game program, the gamedata is the music pack. Unzip fr-gamedata.7z to find a folder called “gamedata” and place this on the root of your flash card.
Digital Satin is back and it’s time to do some cleanup around here…too many cobwebs and dust bunnies! I’ll be updating links and whatnot over the next week. Also, the NDS port of Fatal Relations is at 97% completion as of this writing and is likely to be released within the next 48 hours.
Real-life issues have made it impossible to post any new items to this blog in recent days…I will be posting regularly again soon though, perhaps in a week’s time or so. Sorry!
We’ve just added four more Flash-based games to the Arcade. We are in the process of developing some new games as well. If there’s any particular type of game you’d like to see in the Arcade, let us know and we’ll see what we can do.
A new category was added to Free Stuff, and a few more should be added today. Things are coming together slowly here…there’s just so much to choose from and not enough space for it all! Once all the content sections are added, content will be rotated regularly so be sure to stop by often!
The Free Stuff section will be expanded over the course of the next few days to include many genres of goodness. In addition to the usual formats of movies (AVI, WMV, MPG, etc), DPG and 3GP will also be included. This way, no one will be left out of the fun! For DPG, codec 3 is used so files will still play in Moonshell 1.x. A new DPG site will be opening soon which will feature videos in both DPG3 and DPG4 versions, but that is beyond the scope of the site you are on right now.
DPG videos are going to be added to the site. I am in the process of building the necessary toolchain to produce files in this video format. This is also a precursor to another new site that will be opening up shortly which specializes in the DPG format. I am currently attempting to secure content from providers for this new site but it’s been an uphill battle thus far since funding is currently very low. I am also considering adding other mobile formats to the site, such as 3GP. If anyone has any other suggestions, feel free to post a comment.
Thie is Digital Satin’s first game developed for the Nintendo DS. It is a conversion of the old PC classic, Fatal Relations. Two demos have been released so far, but the game is not quite finished yet. Download Link (requires 7zip to open) Screenshots will be added later on. Note that this was NOT developed with official Nintendo tools and thus is not a “real game” by their standards. It will run on emulators such as no$gba, or can be played on real hardware with a flash cart. I recommend the CycloDS Evolution or the Acekard 2, as these are the best carts available.
Our first 100% completely original card game. Double Trouble is similar to Double Klondike but instead of being a solitaire game, it is played by multiple people. Of course, it’s much more fun when the winner gets to strip the other players of their clothing! As with all of Digital Satin’s older titles, it may have some issues in Vista and Windows 7. A newer version is in the works that will work perfectly in the latest Windows versions, as well as run on other platforms, such as Linux, *BSD, and MacOS.
